Fat Dog – Peace Song

Fat Dog – Peace Song

Just when you thought Fat Dog had gone for a nap after their wild debut “WOOF.” in September, they’re back with “Peace Song” – and yeah, they actually got a kids’ choir involved. Because why not?

The South London gang (Joe Love, Chris Hughes, Ben Harris, Johnny “Doghead” Hutchinson, and Morgan Wallace) dropped this synth-heavy banger that’s basically an ’80s throwback with a twist. While their live shows usually have people bouncing off walls, this one’s more of a lighters-in-the-air moment – though don’t worry, they haven’t gone soft on us.

The video? Pure Fat Dog chaos. Director James Ogram cooked up this bizarre tale where an alien bartender has to save Earth from some massive dog in the sky. It’s exactly as ridiculous as it sounds, and that’s why it works. When Joe Love belts out “I’m in love with the world” while everything’s on fire, you get what they’re going for.

Keyboard wizard Chris Hughes puts it perfectly: “A lot of music at the moment is very cerebral and people won’t dance to it. Our music is the polar opposite of thinking music.” Amen to that.
